Matka Terms – What the Chart Words Mean

Why the Words Need a Separate Page

The charts on this site use a short set of words, and the same word can mean a column, a session, or a whole table. This page defines those words as they are used on DPBossZone. It does not add a new market, and it does not turn a definition into a result.

The format behind the words is explained on the satta matka guide. The place each table lives is on the matka chart guide. If you only need the list of sessions, use the market list.

Ank

An ank is one digit. On a published line, the open ank is the last digit of the open group, and the close ank is the last digit of the close group. The digit is a label for that half of a line that has already been declared.

An ank is not a number set aside for the next draw. A board can show a digit beside a session name. That still describes the notice already posted. It does not choose the following notice.

Open and Close

Open is the first part of a declared line. Close is the later part of the same line. On the cards here, the open side is often three digits and the close side is often three digits, with the two-digit pair between them.

Open without close is an unfinished reading of that row. Close without open drops the first half. The two halves belong to one session and one declaration. They are not two markets.

OTC

OTC is short for open to close. It means you read both ends of one session together: the open group, the pair, and the close group. The letters are a reading instruction for a row that is already on the page.

OTC is not a separate session, not a fifteenth market, and not a promise that both ends will match a guess. When a line is only partly posted, the missing half is simply not on the board yet. The letters do not fill it in.

Jodi

A jodi is the two-digit pair on a declared line. It is written from the open ank and the close ank of that same line, side by side. Pairs run from 00 to 99. The long table of those pairs, for one session, is the jodi chart.

The pair records what was listed. A pair that shows up many times in an old table is still a past pair. The jodi page does not store the three-digit groups. Those stay on the panel chart.

Panel, Patti and Pana

Panel, patti and pana are three names for the three-digit group. This site uses panel in the URL. A full line can have an open panel and a close panel. The table of those groups for one session is the panel chart.

A panel is not a longer way of writing a jodi. Three digits and two digits are different records. If the question is the patti, open the panel page. If the question is the pair, open the jodi page. Both links for every session are on the market list.

Day Session and Night Session

A day session and a night session can share a city-style name and still be different boards. Kalyan and Kalyan Night are the clearest pair. Milan, Rajdhani, Madhur, Supreme and Sridevi are split the same way. Time Bazar is listed once. Main Bazar is its own session, not a night copy of Kalyan.

The archive keeps those names on different URLs so a night row is not filed under the day name. The homepage can show both, because that page is a notice of current lines, not the filing cabinet.

Weekly Chart and the Older Record

A weekly chart is the short view: lines from the current week, across the sessions. The weekly results guide says how those three weekly pages differ. An old matka result is a row from an earlier date, kept on the session archive or on the old results guide.

The week page is replaced as the week moves. The archive is the page that still holds last month. Neither page selects the next line.

What the Words Do Not Do

These definitions describe records that were already published. They are not a method for the next declaration, and no result is guaranteed. DPBossZone does not run a draw. Wagering rules differ by state, this page is not legal advice, and it is not for anyone under 18.

The site name is explained on the DPBoss guide. The broader name for the markets is on the Indian matka guide. Matka 420 is a search phrase, not one of these chart words. It has its own page.

Questions About Chart Words

What is an ank in a matka line?

An ank is the last digit of the open group or the close group on a line that was already declared. It is not a digit reserved for the next draw.

What does OTC mean?

OTC means open to close. It tells you to read both halves of the same session together. It is not a separate market.

Is a jodi the same as a panel?

No. A jodi is the two-digit pair. A panel is the three-digit patti. This site keeps them in separate charts.

Are panel, patti and pana different charts?

They are three names for the three-digit group. On this site the chart URL says panel.
